In Motion is a 30 min dance performance made for the opening of Sencity festival 2026. This performance is specially made for deaf audiences. 
 

In Motion a 30 minute dance performance. This performances reflects on the journey you have when you will be part of a new culture. You're looking for you place within the culture, looking for people you connect with.

In total with 4 dancers of ConCuerpos NL we went past 5 chapters. Taking the audience to different side of the space, changing their perspective. Also within the piece we relfected on different perspectives: your own, the other and us. 

As the theme of the festival was: changing perspectives.

Within the piece, Dutch Sign Language had a prominent role. For many chapters movement material was created based/ combined with Sign Langue. The signs were both easy recognisable as more abstract. 

Music for this performance was specifically chosen based on the viberational experience of the song.
